Call for Papers
APEAA is pleased to announce the third edition of its Doctoral Symposium, which will be held on 17 June 2026. The event aims to provide an open platform for the exchange of ideas and feedback in the field of Anglo-American Studies. We therefore invite MA, doctoral, and early-career researchers from all over the world to submit their ongoing work and share it with peers and experts in an environment of scholarly dialogue. Participation is free of charge to ensure that the event is equitable, and proposals should align with one of three deliberately broad strands indicated below in order to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and thematic diversity.
Participants in the Doctoral Symposium are also encouraged to submit a proposal for a paper at the main APEAA Conference, enabling them to present their research to a broader academic audience.
Submission Guidelines:
Proposals should include the author’s name, e-mail address, institutional affiliation, presentation title, an abstract in English (max. 500 words), three to four keywords, and a brief biographical note (max. 100 words). Additionally, proposals should align with one of the following strands:
- Literatures in English and Literary Theory
- Cultural Studies (including Visual, Media, Film, Performance, and Music Studies)
- Linguistics and Translation
If your proposal does not fit within these strands, you may specify an alternative strand.
